The carpet has been weaved by Iran Carpet Co. and was installed in main prayer hall with cooperating by Ace Carpet Company in United Arab Emirate . At least 1200 weaver, 30 professional experts for weaving observation, 5 designers in designing and 30 technical staff for installation have been participated for this carpet. The main prayer hall carpet which has obtained Guinness records for the biggest carpet in the world, has been weaved by Iran Carpet Company in Nishaboor (North east city of Iran). Weaving the carpet has lasted two years with 1200 weavers with 24 hours working per day. The carpet’s Knot count Is 40 knots (6.50 centimeters in carpet width) with more than 2.200.000.000 knots. The design of carpet is floral with 25 colors containing a big medallion at the center and two smaller medallions on both sides This carpet has weaved in 9 pieces and has been joined to each other at the main prayer hall by Iran Carpet Company’s technical staff in three month, The biggest piece is around 1000 square meters and the smallest piece is around 500 square meters. The pile of carpet is 100% wool and more than 35000 Kilo grams wool (50% Iranian and 50% from New Zealand) has used in carpet weaving Warp and weft of the carpet is 100% cotton and around 12000 Kilo grams cotton yarn has used in the carpet. The field color of carpet is green and the border is beige.
